L. Wittgenstein wrote: “The human body is the best picture of the human soul“. Having a holistic view of the world helps me understand that my body, mind, spirit and soul are a complete system and constantly interacting. My thoughts and matter are not detached from each other, instead, they work in harmony.
Over the years, I’ve learned that we need to build a delicate equilibrium among all these aspects of life. Discovering how my own being functions was amazing. This quest created bliss-filled moments when I realized I am only a tiny part of the universe. It helped me partly understand with awe the miracle of life.
Each of the following balances or quantitative relations have a fantastic impact on the quality of our life. Later, I’ll discuss in greater detail each of these life-enhancing optimal ratios:
Love vs fear, positive thoughts vs negative, exercise vs inactivity, acidic body vs alkaline, good vs bad cholesterol, omega 3 vs omega 6, muscles vs fat, calories absorbed vs calories used, body poisoning vs detox, mental programming vs detox, saturated fat vs unsaturated, personal potential vs creative activity, genetic potential vs environment, ignorance vs applied knowledge and many others.
Smart aging people master them all. So keep learning about the benefits of exercise, healthy nutrition, and positive psychology to create a healthy body, a strong mind, and a great spirit. Learn how to improve your well-being by cultivating positive emotions, developing valuable engagements, growing positive relationships, and finding a way to join with something bigger than yourself.
Let me tell you a strange story that happened to me involving the acid/alkaline balance of my body. Around the age of 80, despite all the care I’d taken for my health after a wake-up call when I was 50, I noticed that three of my teeth were starting to wobble. My dentist told me that he couldn’t do anything and that I should see a periodontist. This specialist told me that at my age he couldn’t do anything either, except surgery with implants, bridges, or all sorts of very expensive procedures. The state of the art was that in the end, I would have to use dentures.
As I never accept “the state of the art” I started looking for better solutions. That’s when I discovered that there is such a thing as an optimal acidic/alkaline ratio for my body. Like everyone else, I had been lied to about the benefits of cow’s milk to get calcium. In fact, what happens is that milk and red meat both acidify the body. So where does nature look to re-establish the acidic proper balance? In the bones.
Instead of building my skeleton as I believed, milk products are in fact weakening it. Question: Where do cows get their calcium from? From plants! You can find all the calcium we need in plants alone, without gulping products specifically made to grow calves…
I immediately stopped eating meat and drinking milk. One year later my dentist could not believe I had completely cured my teeth—they no longer wobble. I didn’t need surgery or expensive artificial dentures! Two years later my teeth are rock solid.
I even learned two things worth noting. After putting some toothpaste on my electric toothbrush I add a little sodium bicarbonate. I even add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide in a glass of water. Then, I swill the mix of hydrogen peroxide and water in my mouth, making my teeth white and shiny. I even swallow some of the oxygenated water, which is reportedly good protection against potential cancers. Cancer cells flourish in anaerobic parts of the body. Oxygen kills them. Good healthy cells don’t suffer, they are naturally protected. No medical advice here. Just reporting my own surprising experience.
That was a step in my long march towards vegetarianism. More generally my quest for the healthiest nutrition adapted to my unique body. Everyone is different and should find the best approach for healthy living for him or herself. Explore and discover your own standard in terms of nutrition, exercise, and mental fitness to create optimal well-being and longevity.
In my next letter, I’ll talk about other lifestyle changes.
Stay tuned,

This design is wicked! You most certainly know how
to keep a reader entertained. Between your wit and your videos, I was
almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Great
job. I really loved what you had to say, and more
than that, how you presented it. Too cool!
